1997 Shop at Home Star ’86 Crunch N Munch Set – Summary
This set features a 10-card set of players from the 84-85 NBA All-Star Game. The set also features one card of Michael Jordan.
The image in the unlicensed Shop at Home set matches the one from the 85 Slam Dunk Supers set. The original Crunch N Munch set had yellowish (orange tinted) borders where the Shop At Home borders are a darker orange.
Like all other Star sets, these were released in bags as shown below.
All Shop at Home sets were issued with a letter from Robert Levin, founder of Star. All letters were written very similarly, all claiming that these sets were unearthed from storage when, in fact, Levin had unlawfully printed them in 1997. Here’s a letter for the Shop At Home Crunch N Munch set.
