1983-84 Star Basketball – Summary
This set represented the 9 players from the inaugural NBA Slam Dunk contest in 1984. And the winner, Larry Nance put on quite a show!
The cards in the set feature the same exact design as the 1984 Star All-Star set. The major difference is that the Slam Dunk cards don’t feature stat lines on the back of the card and only include the player name and team name.
The first card is a checklist and features a group photo of all Slam Dunk contestants. Here’s the card inside one of the sealed bags.
The last card in the set features a card commemorating the victory of Larry Nance (shown below):
