This set was sold on the Shop at Home Network in 1997
Robert Levin of Star led the public to believe these cards had been locked in a warehouse for over 10 years and were finally being released.
However, the set was actually produced in 1997, without an NBA license. Star and Levin were subsequently sued by the NBA.
The set features 10 cards of players on the 1984 NBA All-Star basketball team (including one Michael Jordan). The cards have white borders. The original (licensed) version of this set was issued in 1985 and features blue borders.
The original (licensed) blue-border set had 13 cards, and the (unlicensed) white-border set had 10 cards. The white border set dropped the checklist card, along with Pat Riley and KC Jones, who coached the East and West teams.
The images used between the blue and white sets are mostly different, aside from the Jordan and Dantley cards which use the same exact photos as the blue border set.

1997 Shop at Home Star ’85 Lite All-Stars Set – Summary

This set features all the players from the 1984 NBA All-Star basketball team. The set also features one card of Michael Jordan.

Like all other Star sets, these were released in bags as shown below.

star-lite-shop-at-home — A Shop At Home Lite All-Star Jordan card manufactured in 1997 as an unlicensed card.

lite-jordan — A real Jordan Lite All-Stars card issued in 1985.

All Shop at Home sets were issued with a letter from Robert Levin, founder of Star. All letters were written very similarly, all claiming that these sets were unearthed from storage when, in fact, Levin had unlawfully printed them in 1997. This is a letter for the red Jordan Olympics set, but they are all basically the same.
