The 1985-86 Star All-Rookie Team subset is one of the more popular Star subset issues, due to containing a key first year subset issue of Michael Jordan (#2).  While I have not seen any major counterfeits of this card, there are a few things to look out for.

The one significant thing to be aware of relates to the Shop At Home scandal, which saw two identical looking Jordan cards.  One is part of a Rookie Of The Year subset (shown on the left) and the other is a reproduction of the All-Rookie Team subset set.  Here is what those Shop-At Home Cards look like.

Be sure to avoid this Shop At Home cards.  Recall that these were sold on the Shop At Home Network and claimed to have been original print run cards.  However they were printed many years later and Robert Levin completely misrepresented and defrauded collectors who purchased the card.

Aside from the Shop At Home cards, I have not come across any counterfeit All-Rookie Team Jordan cards, however that does not mean they do not exist.  Please, if you become aware of any, shoot us an email at help@starbasketballcards.com so that we can keep collectors informed.
